When did I start on blogging? I forgot! But it's been years. I gained some online friends who until now are my friends. Not that we really keep ourselves updated with each other. We just know each other and consider ourselves as friends. We ask each other questions more on about blogging and technical stuff.

We actually had graduated from blogging and posting comments on different blogs of our online blogger friends.  I guess time have already passed so much that we have more important priorities than our blogs.

But yesterday, June 4, 2016, its a no set-up plan.  Gem (The Lady Programmer) and I just had a little chat and decided to meet that day.





I guess we have lots of things in common.  We love to eat hahaha.

Nice meeting you Gem.

I also thought of posting more on all my blogs.  Hope both of us will have more blog posts to come.

And I miss my sexy body!  I am now fat.

Being A Nuffnang Blogger is the Hottest Thing Since The Freebie Fever!

Who doesn't love freebies? I am one of the crazies when it comes to freebies!  I guess I live to have a good life.  Good life doesn't mean sitting in front of the computer or TV, or having party all night.  For me, good life is a balance of everything.

I consider myself as having a good life.  I got parents who love me.  I had a wonderful son who amazes me everyday.  I work hard... really hard to earn money for my family, for our future, and for myself.  I love earning money and being able to have a stable financial status.  I love buying some things for myself once in a while.  I'm not really a spender.  But spending some is good.  And in seldom times, spending a little more is really fulfilling  =)

Respect from other people is also one of the reason why I'm having a good life.  That is one of my meter to know that I'm on the right track, that others idolize me for what I'm doing.

Good life = freebies???  Well not literally.  What's my point?  I just really love freebies.  Freebies makes me buy "that" product for the freebie.  It's like hitting two birds in one stone.

You see, I'm an online seller and a blogger.  I sell online.  My online shop is my main source of income.  I love to sell.  I love computers.  I love the internet.  It's a perfect combination.  I'm not just hitting two birds in one stone here.

Then my blog, I got lots of extra extra!  I blog because I love to blogging.  I need an outlet too.  So my blog is my outlet.  I'm earning money from my blog.  And that's not all.  I became a member of Nuffnang.  I'm a Nuffnang blogger!

Being a Nuffnang blogger, aside from earning money, I got to enjoy the contest and giveaways.  Free movie pass.  Free product sample.  Free concert.  What more can I wish for!  Nuffnang is the best.  I would not stop being a Nuffnang blogger.

Another freebie on my freebie fever list?  In a mall where I always sneak out to reply to customer inquiry, to compute for their order, to do all the business stuff I'm into, I always stay in my favorite comfy place... Pizza Hut.  I love pizzas.  I love comfy places. I love being treated important (well who doesn't).  And there's only one place I know that I would get all those.

Whenever I order my food in Pizza Hut, I got free bread sticks so I can chum on something while waiting for my order.  It's free!  And it's considered as a freebie!!!

I think I'm in that Pizza Hut branch once or twice a week!!!  I think the crew can identify me as "the lady who thought Pizza Hut couch is her own couch at home."

More on Pizza Hut.  There would be times when my parents would order pizza from Pizza Hut when I came and visit them.  It's a family bonding moment.  They even have a Pizza Hut Palm Card!  We get an extra family pizza for ordering a family pizza and a bottle of soft drink.  Good job Pizza Hut.  Because of that, my family and I loves ordering from Pizza Hut because of that freebie.  Sharing food with my family is one of the best times in my life.

The Basic Concept On Self-Hosted Blog

Why would one have a self-hosted blog, instead of a free subdomain blog?  There are some ideas on why one want a self-hosted blog. SAMPLE 1: Some people do blog because they want to. They love blogging and would want to customize their blog to their taste, even if it means putting out some amount of money every month. SAMPLE 2: Some people earns money online. And advertisers prefer a self-hosted blog over a blog that is freely hosted with a subdomain. If you would like to have a self-hosted blog, you would first need to a web hosting service. Web host, in a simple explanation, is like having a company's service to keep your blog or your website in their computer.

When you have your web host, you would need to either manually set-up or just choose which of the blog platform you want if there's a preset-up blog on the web host.  The next step is to give a title to your blog.  What title do you want?  What is the topic of your blog?  Personal, topic-related or a general blog, you should always give a "good title" to your blog. And the domain name should be related, or somewhat related to your title, meaning, your domain name should be a "good domain name".  What is a good domain name?  As earlier said, the domain name should be the same or related with your blog title.  It should be short if possible and can easily be remembered by other people.  It should also be related to the blog topic, if you are creating a blog with specific topic.

With these, you can start blogging on a self-hosted blog.

Wow hahaha I think I tried this test before. And before, the result is not GP (General Patronage). Would my blog be safe for kids? I think not hahaha... This blog would remain GP to R, but not XXX for sure. Slight XXX? I hope not hahaha...

Chat Box: To delete or not...

I think lots of bloggers out there do spam on other people's blogs chat boxes.  I got a lot of those spammers.  There are even those local very well know bloggers (mostly female) who just visit my blog and would leave messages on my chat box like "hi", "just came here", "visited your site", etc etc etc!  They came from other blogs and saw my blog because I leave some comments there.  My God, they are very well known bloggers!  They are the one who they call "elite bloggers".  Why the hell would they leave such messages on my chat box when they are very well-known. 

My problem is, they leave messages like that.  But they don't even read my posts.  If they read my posts, since they are very well-known bloggers, I am sure they would leave a post-related comment on one or more of my posts.  But none.  No comments from them.  They are very well-known bloggers.  So I expect them to be good bloggers, not spammers.

I guess I would just delete all my chat box and put my email address (in image form) so if there are people who want to contact me, well, they can contact me.

Now, I can see if there would still be spammers to email me saying "I visited your blog."

Funny.  I found them funny.

I got Google Page Rank 2

I only noticed at this very moment that this blog's Google Page Rank became 2, from the never changing 0 page rank.

I'm not sure if it has something to do with the paid links being removed on this blog.  After the agreed time period of those links be visible on this blog, I do remove them.  I still have some few left.  But I think I love those sites  =)

I hope this blog either stays 2 or to make me awake for the whole week, a higher page rank even 3 would make me really really happy.

This is one blog that I don't expect to get a Page Rank higher than 0.  Well it did.  Thanks Google!!!  Muahhhhhhhh!!!!

Yahoo Pingbox Offline Problem

I encountered a problem on Yahoo Pingbox wherein I am shown as offline even if I am online on YM (Yahoo Messanger)

Luckily, I saw a great answer and fix on the Yahoo Blog.

How to go online on Yahoo Pingbox:

1. Sign out on from YM, and from Yahoo's main page at http://www.yahoo.com/ (would open on new tab/window).
   
2. Sign in on Yahoo's main page.
   
3. After signing in, click this link http://edit.presence.msg.yahoo.com/edit/config/edit_identity?.set=1&.opi=0 (would open on new tab/window). Clicking the link would make you be shown as online on all the Yahoo sites on public.
   
4. You would only see a blank white page after clicking the link. Don't worry. That's okay.
5. Sign in on YM.
   

If you have already installed your Pingbox on your site, and your site is open, just click refresh and everything should be fine.

Want Like Love Games Blog

If you guys still don't know, I have a new blog about the games I love to play. I created the blog on April 2009. It's so new!!!

I called my game blog "Want Like Love Games". Should I explain why? It's obvious! Berry loves to play computer games!!! Although I don't have time to play, it's the only thing that separates me from work and home task, besides going to the mall which I can't do when I got no meet-ups with customer buying my stuff online.

New Template!!!

I found a new template. And I think this one is simple and cool. It's in white and light blue as headers. I changed it to pink!!!

I thought I wouldn't change my template again. But here I am, just changed the template last night/midnight/super early morning.

Even if I change and change and change my template, there would surely be a pink on the blog. This blog is branded as a pink blog, and it would never be just plain white, or blue or whatever color except for pink.

I was surprised when I saw a link where a A Tsinay Blog visitor came from. Someone searched "f*cking my filipino maid" (change * to u) from the Yahoo Search Engine.

First, it's the Lucky Cow Shop Mumbling Berry Mumbling. Now or soon, it's the Tsinay Blog. Tsinay Blog got a PR 0 anyway. And I'm not getting any opportunities for that blog. So I guess I better transfer that blog here in Blogger.

Then... I don't know.

I have something to write in that blog. But I really got no time to maintain 2 blogs right now.

I have a new blog. It's the "Want Like Love Games" on http://wantlikelovegames.blogspot.com/. The blog is all about the games I play. I still hadn't check on what template to use on that blog as of now. Maybe I'll check the Internet if I got some extra time for that.

WordPress To Blogger Conversion

To all who have a blog on Wordpress, and would wish to convert the blog to Blogger, here's what to do.

• Go to http://wordpress2blogger.appspot.com/ and follow the steps on how to convert your blog from WordPress to Blogger.
• If you got an error on Blogger while importing the saved file with "Automatically publish all imported posts" option checked, retry import but uncheck the "Automatically publish all imported posts". Just publish them all after importing. As for me, I got an error because Blogger throws the error of publishing (automatically or manually) ALL post at one snap.

I Love Blogger

I have tried to switch to WordPress. After switching, I got excited with the power of WordPress, the PHP and being able to control the WordPress MySQL database. I can do and put everything I want to show on my blog. I can manipulate the data or the posts too. I can put anything because of PHP.

But I got a little sad after leaving Blogger. Then after some days with just a little updates, I found out that the free hosting (000Webhost) I got for my blog is a crap. I was still trying to look for another free web host. I found one. But later on, I decided to go back to Blogger.

Why?

• I may know PHP and MySQL to manipulate my blog. But I am just a simple blog owner.
• I'm not willing to pay for web hosting services.
• Blogger is free, easy to maintain, and it got an almost 100% uptime. You would have a hard time looking for a free web hosting just like Blogger.

So I'm staying with Blogger. I love Blogger. I still don't know if I'll have a blog on WordPress (self-hosted).

"Blogs may not be hosted at naked domains" Blogger Error

I got the "Blogs may not be hosted at naked domains" error while setting up my domain on Blogger. I am trying to put berryblog.net as my domain name on the Settings | Publishing | Advance Settings set-up. Blogger said that "Blog host names must have a subdomain. For example, try: www.berryblog.net"

I got my berryblog.net domain on 1and1 by the way.

My blog is originally hosted free here in Blogger. Then I transferred to 000Webhost as a WordPress blog, again for free. Then after realizing that 000Webhost is a crap, I decided to return to the beloved Blogger. I'm not sure if this has caused the problem.

Since Blogger doesn't want to accept berryblog.net, so ended up putting www.berryblog.net instead. But on my 1and1 domain set-up, it's berryblog.net. So I'm getting an error when my blog loads on the browser.

So what I did is to change a little on the set-up I did on http://www.berryblog.net/2008/10/setting-up-1-domain-for-bloggerblogspot.html

If you encounter the same error I am getting, and your domain is from 1and1, you might want to try what I did.

1. Go to my blog post where explain how I set-up my domain to my Blogger account.
2. If you already had your domain set-up, no need to delete the domain on 1and1. Just edit the settings for the next steps on this post.
3. On Step 7 on the post I made, instead of naked domain http://berryblog.net or whatever your domain is, put the whole domain you are intending to use. Example, mine is http://www.berryblog.net
4. Then after Step 8, set-up the DNS for the subdomain (www, or whatever you are intending to use) you have created. Just follow steps 4 and 5, but instead of selecting the domain (berryblog.net), select the one with subdomain (www.berryblog.net).
5. Then on your Blogger account, go to Settings | Publishing | Advance Settings. Put your domain with the subdomain like www.berryblog.net on the Domain box, and check the Redirect berryblog.net to www.berryblog.net check box.
6. Jut wait and everything should be fine :)

I hope this technique would help everyone having this error. No more of that recycling the domain, or contacting Google/Blogger :)
