I Love Blogger
I have tried to switch to WordPress. After switching, I got excited with the power of WordPress, the PHP and being able to control the WordPress MySQL database. I can do and put everything I want to show on my blog. I can manipulate the data or the posts too. I can put anything because of PHP.
But I got a little sad after leaving Blogger. Then after some days with just a little updates, I found out that the free hosting (000Webhost) I got for my blog is a crap. I was still trying to look for another free web host. I found one. But later on, I decided to go back to Blogger.
Why?

Why?
- I may know PHP and MySQL to manipulate my blog. But I am just a simple blog owner.
- I'm not willing to pay for web hosting services.
- Blogger is free, easy to maintain, and it got an almost 100% uptime. You would have a hard time looking for a free web hosting just like Blogger.

I think you just have a single reason, not three, you're not willing yet to pay for a web host yet. Same here, but I just got lucky with some sponsors.
But take note you're also missing out some opportunities that only approves self-hosted Wordpress blogs, such as PayU2blog and inLinks - so you will have to rethink about hosting at Blogger because some paid review sites are beginning to follow that move.
True, a little traffic often knocks out sites hosted at 000Webhost. That's why there's always the need for paid webhosting for self-hosted Wordpress.
Maintaining a self-hosted Wordpress blog almost always require technical knowledge, and I know you're good at learning and tinkering this stuff.
Hahaha ayaw ko talaga ng magbayad pa for the webhost. Maybe next time. I would have to think about it.
Sa PayU2Blog, how will they know that you're on Blogger, and not on WordPress. Hindi ba domain name naman tinitignan nila?
I really don't have any problems with sa pagkakalikot sa WordPress. I know PHP and MySql. Pro ewan ko ba, pag dating sa blog, gusto ko yung mabilis imaintain. Parang tamad ako.
Pero I would get more opps on self hosted wordpress?
Weeee, I love Blogger but I am also awed by the power of WordPress. The latest WP blog I upped got all of its first 9 pages indexed by Google a few minute after they were up; this is very important for bloggers---to have their pages indexed by Google quickly (for Adsense sake!). I used some SEO plugins in my WP blogs, i guess they helped a lot.
But my Techno Techniques blog will remain with Blogger. I may build many more WP blogs but my main blogs--- FreedomWall & Techno Techniques will remain with Blogger for as long as Blogger exists :)
What's good about Blogger, you may ask me. Well,it is easier to have your pages indexed by Google if your are using Blogger (the reason is obvious--- Google owns Blogger. Another reason: Blogger is free and you never have to worry about bandwidth and other stuff (and there's almost no outage!). Blogger could be as good as WordPress if you know how to make it good :) Look at my wife's Wow-legs blog, it's raking in around 600 unique hits a day without the benefit of Entrecard. The reason for this is because it's hosted by Blogger, it can get new posts indexed within minutes after posting, it is only in Blogger that you can do that :)
wow ang galing ang dami ngang hits!!! pano mo ginawa yun
ako blogger muna ako, hindi ako masyadong serioso/tamad hehehe
kung may time lang ako and extra money, wordpress ako for sure
