Jewelry For The Love Month

Love month is coming. Have you any gift for your special someone? Girls are usually crazy when guys give them a special gift like a jewelry. I am not saying that girls love jewelries that so much. But we (I am a girl) believe that a guy does not always give a jewelry to a girl. Therefore, a jewelry symbolizes the intention of the guy to be "real".

On Gold Wedding Rings

Do you believe that wedding rings should be simple and yet look stunning? Oh why yes!  Simplicity is the best.  We wear wedding ring to tell people that we are already committed.  Simple wedding bands are the best to show off you are already married, because these kind of rings does suggest its purpose.  Fancy rings are not meant to show marriage relationship.  I love these gold wedding rings.  It would surely give the sign to other interested parties that you are not available anymore.  See the rings below.

Wedding Bands for Men

When I was preparing for my wedding, I got lots of questions in my head. And one of those is where to find wedding bands for men. Sure it's easy to look for anything for women. But for men and about wedding bands, I don't know where to buy one. We ended up with a pair of rings that is something like for his and for her. My ring is the same with his ring. Same design. Only the size is different. Although it doesn't really look like a pair of wedding rings at all.  But really, I would prefer a matching band for us.

If I only have much time, I might be seeing these kinds of matching wedding bands. Check out the images below.

Are Thank You Notes Important?

On my wedding day, I didn't send thank you notes to those who had attended my wedding. On my son's 1st birthday party, I didn't send thank you notes either. After some years, I was invited in a friend's wedding party. I did attend the party. And after 2 weeks, I got a thank you note from the mail man. It's a customized note saying how happy they (the newly wed couple) are, that I had attended their wedding celebration.

I felt happy that the couple remembered me. Let's face it. Thank you notes are not really necessary. It adds up to the task of getting the guest's address. But your friends would really be happy that you actually did an effort of sending a thank you note to them.

If you intend to send thank you notes, make sure you would have a guest book(s) to make your guest sign in their name, contact number and address. It would be better if you would have more than 2 guest books (depending on how many families you had invited). The more guest books, the less time it would take for all your guests to sign in, and the more you are sure that all guests were able to sign in. You would need some people to help you of course. The best people that can help you with assisting the guests on signing in the guest book are those secondary sponsors (the maid of honor, bridesmaid, candle sponsor, veil sponsor, cord sponsor)... if you're having your wedding party.  But for birthdays, your close friends, family members or relatives can help you with the guest book sign in.

The perfect time to start making your guests sign in is when all or almost all your guests has arrived.  It would be before the start of the event.  There would be late comers for sure.  You can make them sign in on your party reception area (if you have any).

Making your guest sign in when they arrive at the party is not a really good idea.  Signing in would need them to write their name, contact number and address.  In that case, your guests would need to line up and wait for their turn to sign in, so they can enter the party area.  It would just clutter the reception area.  In the end, your guests would choose not to sign in.

When your guests writes their info, there would be some of them who would only put their contact number, or some would only put their address.  To the guests who didn't provide their address, and you yourself didn't know their address, you can just send them a thank you message to their mobile number.

Sending Thank You Notes would really make your guests happy, and would make them think that you really had prepared the party from top to bottom.

Reese Witherspoon Wedding Dress

Reese Witherspoon marries Jim Toth on March 26, 2011 evening. The ceremony was on
Witherspoon's 6-acre ranch in Ojai, Califonia.

Reese Witherspoon wedding dress was designed by Monique Lhuillier. Monique Lhuillier is a Philippine-born French-Filipino-Spanish couturier based in Los Angeles, California.

Reese Witherspoon walked down the aisle with the background music "Here Comes The Bride".

I wonder what Reese Witherspoon wedding dress looks like.

When are save the date cards given?

There are people who would like to make sure their guests would be able to attend their wedding. Before sending the formal wedding invitation, which is usually sent a month before the wedding date, save the date cards can be sent to all the guests to make sure that the couple is planning for a wedding, and they are invited as a guest.

When are save the date cards given?
Save the date cards are given about 3 to 6 months before the wedding date. The card would consist of the name of the couple, and the date of course, but no time. No church and reception location would be printed on the card. Although including a state and country would be good, so the guest would know on where they would need to travel on that date.

Why send save the date cards?
Planning a wedding is not as calling a restaurant for a table reservation. A wedding requires processing of documents, searching for wedding suppliers and booking for a church and reception location. On those early months, the couple might not have prepared every detail that would be printed in the wedding invitation.  So before the guests plan for a out-of-town vacation, let them know on first hand that you would like to invite them on your wedding day.

Give Your Bridesmaid A Memorable Day

A wedding is for the couple. For some races, the wedding is for the parents of the groom and bride. But the most looking-fashionista of them all is no other than the bride herself. We always see the bride in white, cream or pina colored wedding dress. There are others who add other colors like some pink, super light blue, light green or other color to their gown. Some even choose to have a non-white, non-cream and non-pina colored dress. There are even those who chooses to have a black gown just to be different.

It is the bride's choice to be beautiful and on how she would look beautiful, of course with the help of the couture. But is it only the bride who should be looking at her best? What about her bridesmaid? Nowadays, the wedding ceremony looks astonishing when the bride and her "ladies" are all wearing good looking dresses.

There are lots of bridesmaid dresses to choose from. You can either buy it from a designer, get a couture to design the dresses, or go to shops that offer dresses and they have usually a line up of simple but elegant and "prettylicious" looking dresses for your bridesmaids.

The bride wouldn't only be the one who would be happy seeing everyone looking at her and at her bridesmaids, but also the bridesmaids themselves would be proud of themselves and to the wedding ceremony too. Your bridesmaids would surely never forget how memorable your wedding day is.

Congrats to Leslie Yu! Married At Last!

I would like to congratulate Leslie Yu and Rauben Gonzaga. It's my first time to attend a wedding reception in Fernwood Garden.  It's also my first time to see a wedding couple who danced with a happier beat compare to the normal wedding couple "formal" dance.  And it's my first time to see the flower girls, the boys and the secondary sponsors to march with a little gimmick, as the hostess introduced them.  They were wearing shades.

What Are The Things Needed On A Wedding?

If you want to make your wedding unique and memorable, not only to you but also to your guests, you should know what are the things you should prepare for the wedding. If you would get a wedding planner, it would also help if you know the basics so you can tell the wedding planner what you want.

Here are the wedding accessories that are considered during a wedding ceremony:
  • ring pillow and pouch
  • bible and pillow
  • coin pillow and pouch
  • rose petals
  • flower girl's baskets
  • flowers for the bride, mother of the bride and groom, primary sponsors, secondary sponsors, flower girls
  • garter for the bride
Here are the other things to be considered:
  • unity candle - Church do usually provide this, but when you want it to look elegant, talk to the church administrator.
  • fans for the bride (and groom), parents of the bride and groom, primary sponsors
  • aisle runner - Check whether the church provides a non-slip aisle runner.  You can provide a non-slippery aisle runner, just to make sure everybody is safe.

Dancing Down The Aisle - Jill And Kevin Heinz - JK Wedding

This is so modern. This is so different. And this is so fun to watch! Just watch the whole video. The couples and the gang had fun dancing down the aisle. And all other people inside the Minnesota Church are all smiling and laughing and happy.

It's Jill and Kevin Heinz wedding. People call it "JK Wedding".

I love the slow motion effect they did. It's amazing!

Their dancing has got the TV stations' attention. They are featured on TV news.

On my opinion, if anyone who would want to try to do such, just be sure that all would participate. Because if it's not going to be that fun and that energetic, then the people sitting inside would just frown saying "What the heck!!!" =p

Bridal Lingerie... Wow!

When I saw some images of the bridal lingerie being sold on the Internet, I was like... "wowwwwwwwwww how sexy!" If I wore one on my wedding day, I'm sure my husband would drool hahaha...

I think these lingerie are cool...

And corsets can hide those extra belly fats too. But I don't need one before =) As of the lingerie available I saw for wedding day, the one I like is...

I think it's so sexy! It's not like the corset type. This one is kind of cute and sexy. I wish I had those pairs on my wedding day before. I'm sure any guy would really drool when they see their wife wearing that on their wedding day. Of course, he'll see her wearing that on their private session.

Wedding Suppliers [Philippines]

I'd like to introduce a blog or website that listed some of the known wedding suppliers in the Philippines.

Check out Blissful Wedding Philippines at http://blissful-weddings.com/

Lots of wedding suppliers, images and information on where to contact those suppliers. I am already married but is still fond on reading about the blog.

So for those who are preparing for their wedding, you might want to check the blog out. Although the suppliers are not for the "super tipid modes", you might still be interested. Anyway, suppliers always showcase the best service they have. But believe me, you can extract some "tipid" stuff out of some of them :) Example, Vienna Cakes is so well-known. But they have the tipid cake para sa mga nagtitipid kagaya ko. Image below...

That's our two-layered icing wedding cake. It's small but it really is delicious.

I know that wedding blog would help you a lot. Because on my wedding preparation, I don't know where to check for suppliers. And there's only little time to prepare.

Good luck!

On Wedding Flowers

On every wedding occasions, you will never a flower. You will see flowers for the table centerpiece, for the restaurant decoration and of course, you will see the bride and all of the ladies and girls on the entourage holding beautifully decorated bouquets of flowers.

That was my problem on my wedding day. I don't know where to go and order flowers. First reason, I have a tight schedule on planning the wedding. Second, it's the cost. I want quality and fresh flowers in an affordable price.

Actually, flowers for weddings are ordered in bulk. And bulk flowers should be at a lesser price. Then another issue of ordering so many flowers is the quality. Not all flowers delivered are fresh. Sure you'll see the flowers decorated beautifully. But there would be some flowers that you'll see with falling and darkened petals.

On my wedding, we had ordered flowers from someone who is connected with our couturier. That lessens our problem. But we didn't have the chance to check our for better supplier.
