Email Scam: You have changed your PayPal email address

Never believe on this one!!!!!!!!  This one is a real scammer! The email shows that it's from PayPal, but it's not!  Check the email address that sent the message.  The email is from test@test.com.

And it has an attached PayPal- Account Update Form.pdf.htm. I don't care and won't dare to open that html file! I am guessing, when I click on that attached file, a site would opened up and would ask for my PayPal email ID and password. And boom!!! My log-in account information would be sent to the scammer.  This scamming technique is called Phishing.

And I'm sure that the link is not from PayPal.  It would be from other domain name.

Here's how to check email address on PayPal account:
  1. On an internet browser, type the link of PayPal.
  2. Log-in to your account.
  3. On the menu, click "My Account" if it's not yet selected.
  4. Then hover your mouse over the sub-menu "Profile", then click on "Add/Edit Email".
These steps would show all the email address that has access to the PayPal account.  By default, it has only one email address.  You can add, edit and even delete email addresses here.

I got PayPal funds from PayPal Wishlist!

I got it I got it.  If for some $22 is a small amount, for me it's a blessing.  That $22 is for free, unlike those paid-to-click wherein you click to get paid.  I hope you got yours too, if you had joined the fun with PayPal and Facebook.

I wonder if there would be another promotion of PayPal, something like that hehehe

How much did you get?

Earn Up To $100 on PayPal WishList

Do you have a Facebook account? If you have a Facebook account, congrats because you are on a few steps higher to be able to earn up to $100.

PayPal is having a promo to all Facebook users. What you have to do is to join on the PayPal Wishlist by adding their application. This is not a contest on who would win. This is a promo for all the Facebook users, by PayPal.

By the way, PayPal is kind of an online bank account. But instead of an account number, your identity is your email address. You can shop safely with PayPal. You can transfer funds from banks or cards to your PayPal account and start buying online without disclosing your bank account information. Do not be alarmed, PayPal is very legit.

I have a PayPal account where payments from my online earnings are deposited. I then withdraw the amount from PayPal to my debit card, or to my bank account.

So here's the steps to get that $100:
  • Go to the PayPal WishList site on Facebook by clicking this link.  This would automatically earn you $1.
  • Start creating your wish list by adding the items you want. It doesn't matter what items you choose.
  • After you have added 5 items to your wish list, share it to your friends by clicking the SHARE THIS WISHLIST button. Everytime your friend clicks your link, you would get $1/friend.  Provided that your friend has not yet click any PayPal WishList link.
  • You can post your PayPal WishList link on your wall, on your chat box with your friends, and even on chat messengers.
  • You can find the link when you click the SHARE THIS WISHLIST button. Then copy the link on the text PayPal WishList.
  • Lastly, be sure to provide your PayPal email address on the PayPal WishList. You can find it on the upper left corner, just below the big blue background with text You've earned* US$XX.

If you hasn't have a PayPal account, go to https://www.paypal.com/ to register.

On February 2010, you would get the amount you earned.  The amount you earned would be deposited to your PayPal account.

If you are here in the Philippines, and you need to withdraw the money you have earned from PayPal to cash/bank account, you can leave a comment on this post, and we'll talk about it.

    DSWD Open for Vonlunteers, Anyone?

The image on the left is an screen shot of Ella's blog regarding the DSWD relief goods for the Ondoy victims.  You can click on the image to view and read on what really happened on the DSWD warehouse.  The image was created by Dementia.

Anyway, right now, DSWD opens up for people who wants to volunteer.  If you have some spare time, you may want to be a volunteer and help those relief goods be packed and delivered to the Ondoy victims.

I think, I guess, maybe if this Ella didn't captured those photos, the relief goods would end up stocked on the gigantic DSWD warehouse of relief goods forever. Hmmm maybe until election =p

If you want to help by being a volunteer regarding the DSWD stocked relief goods, go to Gang Badoy's site for more information.

But wait!  What about those imported relief goods, the untouched boxes of imported relief goods?  I wonder if those would be included on the donation list.  Everything should be donated!

And next time, DO NOT SEND YOUR DONATIONS TO DSWD!!!!

There are many non-government organizations that are reliable than the DSWD.  You can donate to the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) or to other NGOs instead.

It's not only the DSWD that we can't trust.  It's the Philippine Government that we can't trust!!!  Why are donations made to NGOs are taxable?  And why are donations made to DSWD are not taxable?  Is this a way of telling people to donate to DSWD so it won't be taxed and be given fully to the Ondoy victims?

The Philippine Government is full of lies and corruption.
