My Shopaholic Confession
Hi my name is Marilou and I'm a shopaholic!
Before I met my husband, my life had been home-work-mall. And my life is just like that. No parties to attend. A little dull you can say. But as a matter of fact, I don't need to have nice dresses for party purposes, because there's no party to attend!
But when I met my husband, he made me go with him on parties. There are a lot of different celebration parties to attend... wedding, debut, birthday, association party, etc.
The first thing that comes on my mind, "What am I going to wear?" Okay, I got a dress. After wearing the dress for about four times, I thought I need to buy some neat dress to wear. I can't just wear the same dress over and over. People might notice it.
So, I have to buy nice dresses, skirts and blouses. But I don't want to tell my husband that I would go shopping. And that means he'll never know if I really bought a new dress, or if I got it as a gift.
THE PLAN: Go to the mall after office hours and do a canvass on all the dresses available.
THE PROBLEM: Nice dresses but the price was too much for me. I even didn't bring enough money to buy the dress.
THE SOLUTION: Make a deal with the boutique sales lady. Give a down payment. Then after two or four days, I would pay for the balance and bring home the dress.
When I came home with a dress, I just tell my husband that a very good friend gave the dress to me as a gift. I got some more stories to tell my husband. Or sometimes I tell him that I got the skirt for a 70% discount.
Well, the dresses and skirts fits good to me.

I'm sure what you meant was a lay-away plan, isn't it? That scheme is good especially if you like the item much.

My only hope is for me to be selected as one of the nuffnangers to be selected to receive 2 movie tickets =) Kasi if ever, that would be my 2nd time to watch a movie with my husband after we got married. Ang first movie ko with my husband nung kasal na kami is yung sa nuffnang ren, yung burn after reading hehehe
