Top 5 Modus Operandi When Christmas
Okay, this is kind of a late post. But think this is still worth knowing. Some "bad guys" not just do their thing when it's Christmas. They do it anytime they can.
According to XXX of ABS-CBN, here are the top 5 modus operandi when Christmas:
Palit-Bayad Gang
You'll give your payment of example 500 Pesos. Then there's this other person who would seem like a buyer, an irritating one maybe. When you would asked for the change you gave, the seller would say that you gave him 50 Pesos, not 500 Pesos. And this irritating buyer would also atest to that. Then you can't do anything about it.
Palit-Tag Price Gang
You see the tag price is 10 Pesos. The price is cheap so you'll buy some. While busy on your pocket or wallet, the seller would quickly change the tag price to let's say 100 Pesos. Now, it's up to you if you would still want to buy it. The tendency is, you'll just pay for it.
Gift Certificate Gang
This would be for mall shoppers. Example, when you are at a grocery at a mall, a stranger would just talk to you and tell you that he has gift certificates that you can use instead of money. He'll tell you that he won't be using the gift certificates and would like to sell it to people who buy things and use it as payment. So, for your good deed, he'll be selling the gift certificates with discounts. Then you'll just found out that the gift certificates are fake on the counter. Poor you.
Carollers Gang
Carollers would sing infront of your house. After singing and they found out there's no one inside, they get your Christmas decorations on your windows and door.
Salisi Gang
Carollers sing. You go outside and hear them sing. Other people would sneak inside your house and get your things and appliances without you knowing.
Just be careful on everything. You really don't know what an innocent person can do harm to you.
