It has been more than 10 years on the debate if a national ID system should be imposed for the betterment of our country Philippines. It seems like many people do agree that the a national ID can help make transactions faster. According to the government, the national ID would be the equivalent of your SS ID, PhilHealth ID and more. You won't need too much ID. One ID is enough. But the name "national" itself means it's going to be a one ID for all.
If there are those who are agree to have such ID system, there are also those who are opposed to the idea like on "Bakit Dapat Tutulan ang National I.D. System". The site explains what can the national ID system do. It also explains why the system should not be implemented. Actually, the site is an "anti-national ID system" site. It tries to tell the people how can the ID system be harmful to us.
The national ID system would still be a very big question to everybody on how to protect ones privacy.
