True Deli Cafe

I just discovered True Deli Cafe and why it serves it's purpose as a modern cafe. Why just now!

Typically when one goes back to a cafe or to a coffee shop, it would be either because of the food, the ambiance, the peacefulness-feel, the sockets where you can charge your tech stuff, or the fad.  It can be one of those reasons, or a combination of those.  True Deli Cafe will make you go back there because of all the reasons, except that it's not a fad to go there.

Who cares about the fad thing!  What I want in a coffee shop or cafe with sockets where I can charge my mobile phone (very important in my line of business), not too crowded (all seats can be full, but won't make the whole cafe like a can of sardines, and the ambiance.  And the food too of course!

My the way, True Deli Cafe is located just below MRT GMA-Kamuning, on the side going to south.

Their menu is cool :) words in Tagalog.

My salad.

My calamansi, less the margarine.  Yes, it should have margarine.  The waitress seems to noticed I am "distress" with the word "margarine".

I will be back True Deli Cafe.  See you soon!

Miao Cat Cafe

Have you been to Miao Cat Cafe?  If you love cats, or if you love got kids who love to pet animals, this is the perfect place to go on your weekend.  This is a unique kind of coffee shop here in the Philippines.  This is like going to a coffee shop with cats roaming around.  A different sight for you and your love ones.
Pet them.  Play with them.  See them roam around the whole coffee shop!  If you are lucky, you would see them sleeping "up there", and walking on the "hanging bridge".

Book your visit on this lovable and cute cafe.  Visit their Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/miaocatcafe for more information for direction and booking.

I want to go back.  I want to go back!!!  You would see lots of different breed of cats there.  I promise, you would see cats you had never seen before!!!

Now, the place is bigger.  More breed of cats too. Here are some of our pictures (smaller area, that's why I want to go back and see and visit the cats!)   I will bring my son.  He misses Miao Cat Cafe.

Ivan loves Teriyaki Boy!

On Ivan's 4th birthday last June 3, 2012 (western age), my husband decided we take lunch outside.  He brought us to Teriyaki Boy (Banawe branch).

Ivan loves the Teriyaki Boy mascot. So maybe he'll love the food too?  It's not a good logic but he actually loved what we ordered for him.  Ivan was actually asking the waiter for a spaghetti and iced tea!

We ordered Katsudon, Yakisoba, iced tea and something like Katsudon but it's chicken instead of pork.  Ivan love the rice of Katsudon with its rich sauce.  He also love the Yakisoba.  We actually ordered the Yakisoba for him.

Ivan loves Teriyaki Boy.  It's his new love  :)

Teriyaki Boy SM San Lazaro Review

I love Teriyaki Boy. So far, on all the branches I had gone, I am satisfied with all the food I ordered.

Last time, I ordered Tuna Sashimi, Tofu Furai and red iced tea. Their Tuna Sashimi is fresh. Tofu Furai is yummy, especially when you dip the tofu in their tofu sauce. Tofu Furai is a breaded fried tofu. About the red iced tea, I just love Teriyaki Boy's red iced tea.

Greenwich SM San Lazaro Review

I had just took a snack in Greenwich SM San Lazaro. After I order my food, I waited for more than 15 minutes on my order before the food came. I ordered Chicken Carbonara, Pizza Fries and a drink. Everything is delicious, but the food is not warm. I hope they serve their food warm. There are even not so many people inside the fast food restaurant. The servants are good. I mean, they would attend to your needs. I just hope they would serve warm food.

Chef 'd Angelo Buffet Review Two Thumbs Down!

I had tried the buffet of Chef 'd Angelo. I won't be going back on that restaurant. Not worth the money.

Chef 'd Angelo is not a buffet restaurant. Maybe because of bad food, they are losing customers. Then they tried to win back customers by serving buffet lunch and dinner. There are hours wherein they are not serving buffet. But most of the time, it is buffet.

The buffet is 175 php per head, excluding drinks. If you want a bottomless drink, you would need to add 50 php. The 175 php buffet includes rice, meat, vegetable, soup, pizza, pasta and dessert.

The day my husband and I tried their buffet, they have the following food...

Rice - Just one kind.
Baked Vegetable - Not tasty. Not Yummy. Not hot. Not even warm.
Baked Sliced Potato - This is okay for me. I like this one.
Chicken Salpicao - This is okay, but is nothing compared to Pizza Hut's Chicken Salpicao.
Mushroom Soup - What the hell!!! The soup tasted like it is toasted! I'm not sure if it was really toasted, or if it really is supposed to taste like that.
Pizza - Just one kind. Not hot. Not even warm. Is not yummy.
Pasta - They serve two kinds of strings: round and flat. Then there are 4 choices of pasta sauce. I guess this is okay. Not hot. Not even warm.
Macaroni Salad - Wasn't able to try this one.
Gelatin Salad - Self-mix of whatever ingredient you want. Wasn't able to taste this one.

I really like their iced tea.

The branch where we went was in SM San Lazaro. We were there before the buffey starts. And I was expecting hot food on my plate. I hope they try to improve their recipe. I wonder if all branches are like this one.

Two thumbs down!!!

World Chicken Food Review

When you go to World Chicken to eat, you must be hungry! The serving is big. Although the cost isn't worth the value.

I was in Trinoma to meet a buyer. I got really hungry while waiting more than 2 hours. So I decided to go to the food court to have my dinner. World Chicken caught my eye because there are lots of people in line, compare to the other food store with no customers. I was curious of the food they serve. I saw the food on their trays. All does look tasty! I hadn't had the time to check for the price. I was busy sending text messages. And I think the price list aren't really that "visible". You really have to look for the price to see it!

World Chicken is not for everyone. It would cost you at least 158 pesos. But I was wondering, how the hell my bill was 188 pesos, when the only price I see on their wall was 158 pesos!

I had a Chix Classic (I think the food is about the chicken, based on the food store's name, so everyone would have at least a piece of chicken). The food is inclusive of 2 other food of any choice, and a drink. I had pesto and mashed potato, then a Sarsi softdrink.

The mashed potato was okay because it is warm. It is not hot, and not that warm. If we're talking about water, the mashed potato is lukewarm. The pesto and the chicken is really cold!!! The softdrink isn't that cold!!!

What kind of serving is that! It isn't worth the money I paid them. If everything is hot, I know that the food would taste really delicious.

I am not going to order in World Chicken ever again. It's the first and last.

Restaurant Furniture Suggestion

Are you opening a restaurant? Here are some of the restaurant furniture you might need to consider and buy, depending on what kind, how practical, and on up to what extend you want your restaurant's maintenance be.

Dishwasher

Make sure to buy a dishwasher with a high temperature. It would be great if the dishwasher is an undercounter too, to save space inside the kitchen.

Depository Box

If you would need to keep some important documents or cash and checks within your restaurant, do get a depository box. Just make sure that the box is not exposed. Do make a secret cabinet to keep your box.

Bar Cooler

Who says only bars can have bar coolers?

Sink

Even though you had opt to buy a dishwasher, you would still need a sink. This is not an option. This is a requirement.

Heated Table or Heated Cabinet

Every restaurant would need one of these food heaters.

Freezer

Of course, your restaurant would need freezers to store uncooked food ingredients.

There are a lot more of restaurant furniture to consider. Try to list everything down.

Use Stainless Steel Drums Instead

Remember the "Chicharon Ipis" or the "Crackling Pork Cockroach"? It's yucky to eat another cracking pork when you know how it may be manufactured. It may be manufactured just like the one featured on the TV show that shows different kinds of anomalies.

For business, I hope that they would opt for a stainless steel drum, instead of a non stainless steel.

First of all, it won't rust. Then it's easy to clean.Of course, try to acquire drums with cover.  Don't ever improvise other kind of cover for the drum, like plank of wood, plastic cover, etc... especially if inside the drum is something that is a food ingredient.

Jollibee Chicken Barbeque

The Jollibee Chicken Barbeque is so delicious!!! As the slogan of the product says, it's so delicious inside and out!

I only order a 1 piece Jollibee Chicken Barbeque with rice and soft drinks meal. After the first bite, I told myself that I should have ordered 2 pieces instead of 1. I does order only 1 piece of chicken in fast food chains. But the next time I would crave for a chicken barbeque, I would order 2 pieces!
Your Jollibee Chicken Barbeque can satisfy you with a rice, spaghetti or palabok. You can even order a bucket full of Jollibee Chicken Barbeque for the whole family!

If you love eating chicken of Mang Inasal, Andoks and the likes, you would love Jollibee's version of chicken barbeque.
