Ivan as the Magician's Volunteer: Cutting of Hands Trick

I am so happy that Ivan isn't shy when it becomes of volunteering to be the magician's assistant or volunteer. This is the second time Ivan was selected to go up the stage and be part of a magic trick act. Here's the full video of the magic trick act with Ivan.

And so, that's just last year. I hope he'll be able to volunteer again soon. And of course, I hope the magic trick would be smooth and perfect. You know what I mean.

Video: Ivan Pre-Nursery Graduation Performance

Well don't really expect anything from a pre-nursery student when it comes to dancing. It's really a fail when it comes to coordination, alertness and submission of what they are told to do in such performance.

This is an update regarding a previous post on the photos of that event.

Video: 20120831 - Ivan Singing Ako Ay May Lobo (4y 2m old)

Ivan singing "Ako Ay May Lobo". He learned singing the song on school. He said that her Teacher Genny taught him. He's in Nursery. Ivan is 4 years 2 months old at that time.

Ivan doesn't know how to speak Tagalog (the main Philippine language). But I guess kids are good at learning songs even if they don't understand the lyrics. (Hey, most of us can actually sing the songs we like, even if the lyrics is foreign to us!)

I'm not really sure if he understands the meaning of the song.

He's 3 years 8 months years old in the video. He can actually play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star earlier. I hadn't had the chance to take the video.

Lego Airplane by Ivan (20120412 - 3y 10m old)

Ivan loves playing with the Lego. He made an airplane out of Lego. I wasn't able to take photo of all his creations. I happened to be taking pictures of the items I'm selling, when I saw Ivan's airplane.

This one is created on April 12, 2012 when he is 3 years 10 months old. He loves creating things out of something.

Kinderville Learning Center: A PROMising Day 20120316

Ivan's last day on Kinderville Learning Center. They celebrated then school year end with the "A PROMising Day" on March 16, 2012. Ivan was 3 years 9 months old at that time.

Ivan and his pre-nursery classmates do a little performance, if you call that a performance :( Ivan cried at first but recovered when the song of their dance started.

Ivan had a great time on Manila Ocean Park. He loves riding the bus!!! He's happy to see real penguins and sea lion. He loves the ice slide. He likes to eat popcorn. He so so love the ice world of Manila Ocean Park. He even had Jollibee for lunch!

He had also the Manila Ocean Park penguin stuffed toy. Of course, I paid for it hahaha...

Video: 20120120 - Ivan Dancing Kinderville Chinese New Year (3y 7m old)

This is the Kinderville Learning Center pre-nursery dance presentation for the celebration of the Chinese New Year on January 20, 2012. Ivan was 3 years 7 months old at that time. He had fun dancing that day. He even loves the song. Ivan is the little boy in brown pants.

He loves watching his own videos. This one is one of Ivan's favorite :)

Video: 20120110 - Ivan Playing at Kinderville (3y 7m old)

Ivan start going to school on January 2012. He's 3 years 7 months old. He attended the last quarter of the pre-nursery class on Kinderville Learning Center.

He loves school. He actually loves Kinderville Learning Center. Not just play while learning (of course he's still in pre-nursery), but after classes, he got to play with the school's mini indoor playground.

Why did he started school so late? It's because I really don't believe in pre-nursery classes. I can teach my son at home. But my problem is, he got a problem with emotions. I mean, he's a cry baby! We want him to get ready when we enroll him in nursery.

Ivan Improved His Coloring Skills

Just this morning, when Ivan arrived on his classroom, he quickly went to the toy section! But the teacher calls him to color a duck printed in a small bond paper. There's also a sample posted in the wall so the kids can see what color they should use. I guess Ivan saw the other kids try to color the duck as much as beautiful as it can be. I'm amazed! He actually tried to color the duck beautifully... well for a 4 year old kid. He really improved a lot! He tries to do things on how others do it. He's happy in school. He had his milk and drink his milk in bottle when it's time for nap time. He had actually slept yesterday! I hope he had he's nap today. I'm not so worried today seeing he loves being in school the whole day. But I'm still thinking he had actually really sleep.

Ivan is in Nursery Day Care!

I enrolled Ivan in Nursery regular morning class. But on his 2nd day in school, we add xx.xxx.00 php to make him in Nursery Day Care. He'll he in school 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Last three days in school, it's the so-called "adjustment days". They only where in school up to 11:00 am. They took lunch on about 10:00 am. To early for lunch because they also had they snack time.

I kind of worried today. Today is his 1st day (and 1st time) to be inside the school for whole day. They would have snacks in the morning and in the afternoon. They would have lunch I guess 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. They would have sleep/nap time 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm after brushing their teeth. Morning class would be english, and chinese in the afternoon.

He's happy inside the classroom. He does participate on singing and exercises. He answers when the teacher ask something.

But I'm worried about his lunch and nap time. I miss Ivan I think I would like to cry while writing this post!!!

He's studying in Philippine Cultural College (Annex).

Ivan loves Teriyaki Boy!

On Ivan's 4th birthday last June 3, 2012 (western age), my husband decided we take lunch outside. He brought us to Teriyaki Boy (Banawe branch).

Ivan loves the Teriyaki Boy mascot. So maybe he'll love the food too? It's not a good logic but he actually loved what we ordered for him. Ivan was actually asking the waiter for a spaghetti and iced tea!

We ordered Katsudon, Yakisoba, iced tea and something like Katsudon but it's chicken instead of pork. Ivan love the rice of Katsudon with its rich sauce. He also love the Yakisoba. We actually ordered the Yakisoba for him.

Ivan loves Teriyaki Boy. It's his new love :)

We just discovered what Ivan like to eat...

Ivan likes to eat 2 kinds of vegetables (patola, and another one), 1 kind of fruit (banana), 3 kinds of meat (chicken, pig skin, and fish). But we just recently discovered that he loves to eat fried fish fillet! At first, he thought that it's chicken, until I told him it's fish.

He loves eating ice cream, cake, mamon, peanut butter sandwich, XO candy and junk foods. He doesn't like hotdog and eggs.

I hope he'll discover to eat more food to add up to his everyday meal. What he eats would be everybody's meal!

Modelling and Dancing as closing program for toddlers... I'm excited!

I am so excited! My Ivan would do modelling and dancing on their closing program on Kinderville Learning Center. Although all students would do modelling and dancing, I'm so excited how Ivan would do the modelling. He so love posing. I hope he'll do well on both modelling and dancing. He loves those activities and takes them seriously.

Ivan so love instant cereals

Ivan so love instant cereals. He so so so love his milk. I got 2 boxes of Quacker Oats Instant Honey Cereals as freebies for buying bottled drinks. Ivan and I had our bowl of the cereal. Then he saw the picture on the box of the cereal... cereal in milk with strawberry. Ivan instructed (this is the correct verb!") to go up the stairs and get his milk. Okay, he had cereal with milk. The next thing he asked for was strawberry!!! Now that we can't provide. After about half an hour of munching cereal, sipping milk and stirring cereals on milk, Ivan saw me eating those little ponkan called as katkat (not sure of the name). He was so happy he told me to put the fruits to his cereal. We had a fun bonding night because of cereals.

My Ivan is Sick... Again

Ivan is sick again. He has a fever. Today is his 3rd day. We hope he'll get better soon. He needs to practice modelling and dancing for their school program. I don't want him to miss that opportunity, the modelling thing. He loves modelling. But I'm sure he'll catch up. Back to his health, we hope he gets well soon. I prayed that his sickness be transferred to me.

I hate the fact that the hat he's wearing got loss in a tricycle :( we're riding a tricycle to get home. The wind just blew the hat from Ivan's head to the road :( And he really cried when his hat flew away.

He's the one who saw the hat and picked it up in a department store. He's the one who insisted to buy that hat for him :(
