Hey Uber. I didn't book for Uber Pool!

Last night at Lucky Chinatown, I booked for an UberX.  For the sake of those who aren't familiar with Uber, here's a little information.

Uber - It's like booking for a taxi by calling the taxi company.  Only that you book through a mobile application, and it's a private vehicle instead of a taxi cab.

UberX - A service of Uber wherein you and those who are with you are the only people who would hop in and ride the vehicle.

Uber Pool - A service of Uber wherein the driver can pick up other passenger other than you.

When I hopped in and was ready to take off, the driver told me:

Uber Driver: You booked for UberX?
Me: Yes.
UD: But there's another passenger.  We can't go yet.  Are you sure it's UberX?
Me: Yes.  I always book for an UberX.

And then a lady was waving, opened the door and got in.  So everyone's asking everyone if they booked for either UberX or Uber Pool.  She booked for Uber Pool.

I paid as an UberX rider.  About her, I don't know.



Although this makes me decide to try Uber Pool in times when I am not in a hurry, what if I book for an UberX and am in a hurry?

Is this an application bug of Uber?  I have no idea.
