For me, the story is good. I think this movie is getting a lot of bad reviews all because the movie watchers are expecting a gore or a slasher type of movie.
This movie kind of give a glimpse on how bad an insurance claim can be. On how should one handle cases, if one should just accept things as it is even if it's wrong, or one should dig deeper and risk to find the truth, even if it would risk
