Different Types of Barcode Scanner
There are different types of barcode scanner. There are those handheld, pen type, stationary (usually found mounted on the cashier table in super markets and groceries), fixed-position (usually being use in warehouses, manufacturing factories, etc to manage inventory), and some other barcode scanners like mobile phones, PDA, etc with built-in barcode scanner.
Some would be high-tech looking scanners. But before you buy a barcode scanner, one should first know what items would be scanned. Different uses would require different scanner.
Example, if you have a grocery wherein you would like to track the inventory and sales in less headache, buy a scanner. Your scanner can be the stationary type or the handheld type. If your grocery is not so big like in the malls, you can buy something like the posguys barcode scanner. See picture below.
