Scam: apple is giving away 5000 macbooks today in honor of him
This is a scam!!! Be alert!!!
Apple is giving away 5000 macbooks today in honor of him? Impossible!!!
When you got online on your Yahoo! Messenger, a message from a friend would pop out. Converse with your friend (which is not really him) and you would get some more answers.
Here's the chat lines made by the scammer:
- hi you there?
- did you hear about Steve Jobs?
- Yeah supposedly apple is giving away 5000 macbooks today in honor of him.
- I just signed up for mine here: http://yahoolink1.com/?id=50f603f42aa43540&s=30&user={your Yahoo! Messenger ID automatically goes here} and there are only 945 remaining.
- ?

- Let me know if you get one too

honestly, i don't know how to fix the problem.
you can ask your friends if there are weird messages from your yahoo messenger. if yes, you can try to uninstall, and reinstall yahoo messenger.
or you can reformat your computer :)
