Is it Being a Christian or What?????????????

Pin It
I don't go to church, unless on my wedding day, on my son's and other people's baptism.  I don't go to church to hear mass.  Some people call me hard-headed.  Yes, I am.

I just can't get the idea of some people looking up at priests and nuns that so high!

Last week, I was in LRT, standing.  Then a mother and her young adult daughter came in.  Later, the young adult was able to have a seat after a lot of passengers leave the train.  There was a woman on her 60's standing.  She's okay, but looked a little tired.  Maybe because of the weather.  She's carrying a big bag.  Maybe it's her bag that make her tired.

After the train had passed some stations, a nun walked in the train.  There was no vacant seat.  The mother make a quick sign to her young adult daughter to stand up and give the seat to the nun.  The nun quickly sat on the seat and said thank you.  Then then mother looked at the nun and smiling.  She's kind of proud to what her daughter did.

I frowned.  I can't hide my frown.

What the hell!!!  I had seen such scene, giving the seat to a nun instead to an old lady, many times!

Is it how Christians behave?

Father = priest
Mother = nun

Are Filipinos like that???

I am sure that the nun saw the tired old lady.  The nun is in her 40's.  She doesn't look tired.  If she's really a servant of her God, she should have given the seat to the old lady instead.

Isn't the nun's job is to serve her God, and be a good citizen?  Do people here in the Philippines would give their sit to a nun instead to an old lady???

Weird people.  Or is it me that is weird.  Am I leaving in the wrong country?
