Should Animals Be Given Supplements?

Who says only human need health supplements? Animals also need health supplements. Humans usually give vitamins and supplements to animals if it would make them better for the benefit of the human.

Cattle, pigs and other meat-supplying animals are given vitamins to make them healthier, for our food supply. There is the horse joint supplement to strengthen the bones of the horses for horse racing. I remembered that is some cool places in tropical countries like the Philippines, there are horses for rent. You can pay to ride a horse. These horses ought to need some joint supplements too. If you lose a horse, then you would need to buy a new horse for the business to continue smoothly, and that costs a lot. A healthy horse would keep the veterinarian away. I mean, if the horse is sick, you would need to give the horse some rest, then give it some medicines. And medicines for animals do cost a lot!

Okay, this other use of supplement is not really for the benefit of human, but we humans would like our pet to be strong and healthy. We like our pet dog or cat to be healthy. If we have a horse, we would like our horse to be strong as he should be.

And just like any other supplements for us, supplements like the joint supplement specifically for horses do have different brand and different formulation.

Do a favor for the animals. Help them become healthy.
