What about your baby's future?

Pin It
  • I am sometimes thinking of my baby's future. I got a lot of what if's. All of the "what if" is regarding financial issue. I am a person who believes that money is a very important thing. I'm not like those people who would say that money is can't buy you happiness. Although money can't really give happiness directly, but do you like your child to be "happily" playing with street children, because your child is also one of them? Of course you don't like that to happen, right?

What if I, or I and my husband die young? What would happen to our son? Although I'm just 30, I want to have everything for my baby. My husband and I doesn't our son to face the financial problems that he had experienced. We want him to have a good life.

We also doesn't want for our son to worry about us when we get old. Now that my parents are getting older, I am worried of what would happen to them, and to the financial issues that we would face. At my status right now, I got a decent job. My husband's earnings is okay. But I still can't say that our financial status is very good.

If we would be lucky to hit a very good household income, which comprises as my income and my husband's, we would:
  • open a time deposit bank account for our son, for his future
  • save a lot of money so we can send our son to one of the best school
  • get my son a term life insurance
Again, money may isn't be everything. But being financially stable won't make one a street child.

oo nga kami din ni Pasti is preparing for that din hindi kasi tayo laging nandyan :p we should also teach our kids the value of saving plus the value of his education isa pa ay magsikap din wag masyadong umasa kundi matuto rin sa sariling pagsisikap so he will have strong value of everything around him c;

Hmmm.. I did manage to get a life insurance, but I decided to discontinue that at the moment due to the scandal that rocked insurance firms. I think I might have to learn investing the hard way - stocks, mutual funds and bonds - all managed by myself, rather than having an insurance firm handle my finances.

Like you I have the same worries. But with what happened at that scandal, it seemed that I could not trust anything to keep my money - not even banks.... tsk tsk.

merong isang insurance na matatag, pero nadamay sila, i forgot what insurance company yun. basta yung may share, or pagmamay ari ata ng sm. marami silang lupain, the prob is, nisubmit lang nila yung eksaktong requirements ng gov't. kaso nung nagpalit and naghigpit due to the scandal, hindi naginform ang gov't. so maraming nagwiwithdraw. as of now, matatag pa ren yung insurance company, pero dami nagwithdraw ng insurance.

pinalalala ng gov't ang lahat. ako, hindi ko na alam, maybe savings na lang. ang insurance, to see na lang in the future regarding status ng gov't and insurance relationship.
