PBA Imports
Last night, I was reading a tabloid newspaper. On a sports showbiz article, the writer had talked about the PBA players.
On local players, he talked about the players getting married, player meets father, and other non-sports stuff. And for the PBA imports, he talked about who among the imports are good at basketball, and who among them should be sent home because of their not-so-good performance.
I was like... What the...
Is this how PBA works? Should PBA teams really have or should I say "hire" players from other countries just to make their team win?
I'm not a PBA fan nor of the NBA. Actually, I don't watch basketball games. But it just seems like the performance of every teams' imports is the key of winning the game. Isn't?

Yes you are correct, the play of the import drives the performance of the team. The good news is that over time the imports are not quite as dominant as they used to be, indicating an improvement in the quality of PBA players (driven in large part by Filipino-Americans). But import domination is also true of many European basketball leagues where the imports are typically American college stars that did not make the NBA or played very little and were cut from the NBA.
hope things would be better on PBA...
